The COVID-19 Pandemic in India has been the hardest on the elderly. They have been advised by the health officials and their family members to stay indoors due to the risk of COVID-19 infection.
The COVID-19 pandemic has impacted older people’s daily routines – and their ability to stay socially connected with their relatives, friends, family and even their grandchildren.
To understand more about the impact of COVID-19 induced lockdown and the pandemic, Kunika Balhotra, Suno India’s Research and Communications Officer interviewed Dr Debanjan Banerjee, a resident doctor at geriatric psychiatry at the
National Institute of Mental Health and Neurosciences in Bangalore and two elderly women to understand the impact of COVID-19 Pandemic in their lives.
