Eight months into the pandemic, health workers have been working under tremendous stress and face a complete burnout. Apart from the risk of catching the infection, the burdens of the job also put pressure on their mental health.
On the occasion of World Mental Health Day on October 10, Suno India is releasing the first episode of our mini-series on the impact of COVID-19 pandemic on mental health.
In this first episode, we feature resident doctors and ASHA workers who work for the overburdened public health system. Kunika Balhotra, our Research and Communications Officer spoke with Dr Migita D Cruz, a resident doctor at the National Institute of Mental Health and Neurosciences in Bangalore and Dr Siva Kamesh who works at Osmania General Hospital in Hyderabad to understand how COVID-19 has changed their lives.
